to all applicants. A background check will not be
performed until after a conditional offer of employment
has been made. At that time, we will collect any
additional information needed to complete the background
check.
Q: How do I know if a job I applied for is still
open?
A: Click on “What jobs have I applied for on this
site”. This will list all the positions you have
submitted your application. The position is still open
if the job status is listed as “OPEN”.
Q: What does it mean if a position’s status is listed
as “HOLD”?
A: A position can be put on hold for a variety of
reasons. Most commonly, a position is put on hold
because an offer of employment has been made to a
candidate or because the position will not be filled at
this time.
Q: How long does my application stay on file?
A: Your application will remain on file for as long
as the position is still open. If you are interested in
other positions then you will need to submit your
application for each additional position you are
interested in applying.
Q: What is the hiring process?
A: Once your application is received, one of our
recruiters will review your application based on the job
requirements and hiring standards. The recruiter will
contact you if you are being selected for an interview.
Your interview process will include the hiring manager
and may also include a peer interview with several staff
members from the department. Due to the volume of
applications we receive, only those who are selected for
an interview will be contacted.
